Hi, I’m Anna
I am a qualified counsellor with over twenty years of experience in healthcare, bringing both clinical knowledge and genuine compassion to my work. My background in nursing has deeply shaped the way I understand people — not simply as a collection of symptoms or challenges, but as whole individuals whose thoughts, emotions, physical wellbeing, relationships, and personal beliefs are intricately connected.
I have experience working with issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, faith, relationship breakdown, family dynamics, parenting and more. I use a range of modalities including CBT, Narrative, Strengths-based and Person-centered.
I work with individuals, couples, families, teenagers, and children, providing a safe and supportive space where you can feel heard and understood. Whether you are navigating stress, relationship challenges, grief, or seeking personal growth, I am here to walk alongside you.
My approach is practical, collaborative, and respectful. Together, we work toward strengthening resilience, rebuilding confidence, restoring connection, and moving toward renewal with clarity and hope.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Counselling and am a registered member of the New Zealand Christian Counsellors Association (NZCCA). I adhere to their Code of Ethics and engage in regular professional supervision to ensure safe, ethical, and competent practice.
